Senator Benigno C Aquino III is our Hope

As a physician I know from many years of medical practice that in life threatening conditions the key element to survival is hope, the will to live, the belief that all is not lost. Hope.

Ninoy Aquino inspired it in us in the darkest days of Martial law. Cory Aquino brought it in us in the face of military attacks against democracy.

In the midst of shocking corruption and misrule, Noynoy Aquino brings hope to us now.

We see Noynoy, honest, straightforward, incorruptible and we hope that our country will not break down, will not collapse, will not be defeated by the forces of greed and deception.

With Noynoy as President we shall regain our economic, moral and political health as a nation and as a people. This is my hope. Noynoy is our hope.

To quote one of the World's most remarkable leader:

"Ours is a project of national renewal, renewing our commitment as a nation, as a community of people in order to prepare and provide for ourselves in the new world we face.

We must build a nation with pride in itself. A thriving community, rich in economic prosperity, secure in social justice, confident in political change. A land in which our children can bring up their children with a future to look forward to.

That is our hope."

If we have a fault as a people, it is that unless roused, we tend to let things be. We say “things could be worse” rather than “things should be better”. Our country deserves better.

People tend to look at politicians to provide leadership. And that is why we now put our trust in Noynoy. But we know he can't do it alone and that is why we put our trust in people like you. As for me, you and Sen. Aquino will not only have my support this may but all the way until 2016 as long as you guys govern in the interest of the many.

I truly believe that we have reached the point where technology has become one with our lives, and I am 99% certain that we have passed the point of no return in our relationship with technology.

I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Societal concerns aside... I just hope that as memory gets cheaper, the possibility of copying our memories onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's one of the things I really wish I could experience in my lifetime.

While I do believe he is our hope, still very important to know him and look at his platform of government and I also hope its good for all and not just for self interest.
